Wendy Oliver, M.Ed., PMP, PMI-ACP, PMP-ATP

Wendy Oliver brings over 30 years of expertise in project management, process improvement, and data analysis, along with two decades in education. With a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, Wendy has served for 20 years as a Special Education Self-Contained Teacher, Campus Peer Facilitator, District Compliance Specialist, Response to Intervention Leader, and Data Specialist supporting 37 campuses. 


She transitioned to corporate leadership to develop a nationally adopted Special Education system and managed the implementation of 10 systems for a top 5 school district in the United States. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)®, 


Wendy applies her expertise to lead OLIVE BRANCH Project Services, a team specializing in Special Education Compliance, Instruction, and Evaluations;  Section 504; 

Systems of Support (MTSS), Dyslexia, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Specially-Designed Instruction (SDI). Wendy’s results-driven approach and systems expertise empower districts to enhance and sustain impactful special education programs.

Calandra Salter, M.Ed.

Calandra Salter is a highly skilled and dedicated educator with comprehensive experience as a retired Special Education Coordinator. Her expertise spans all aspects of special education, including compliance, progress monitoring, IEP implementation, specialized instruction, behavior systems, and transition services.


Calandra is recognized for her results-driven approach, effective collaboration with stakeholders, and excellence in professional development. Her skills in problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical thinking make her a valuable partner in developing and executing impactful special education programs. 


Calandra’s engaging presentation style, mentorship abilities, and deep understanding of the field position her as a trusted advisor to educators and administrators alike.

Dr. Carmen Figueroa

Dr. Carmen M. Figueroa is a seasoned educator and retired Special Education Director with over 35 years of dedicated service in PK-12 education. Her extensive career includes roles as a classroom teacher, bilingual/ESL teacher, bilingual educational diagnostician, campus and district administrator, and educational consultant. Dr. Figueroa has also contributed significantly to higher education, training future educators and diagnosticians. 


A veteran of the United States Armed Forces, she retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of service, bringing unparalleled leadership and strategic expertise to her educational work. Dr. Figueroa’s research focuses on Language Acquisition and the intersection of special education identification practices for English learners. Her commitment to advancing equitable education for diverse student populations positions her as a leader in implementing transformative practices and policies that drive student success.

Erika Chapa, M.Ed.

Erika Chapa is a respected leader in education, currently serving as the Director of Intervention, Section 504, and Dyslexia for Pasadena Independent School District in Texas. With a proven track record of driving systemic change, Erika spearheaded Pasadena ISD’s successful implementation of comprehensive intervention structures and supports across 68 campuses, ensuring equitable access to resources for all students. Her background includes roles as a Bilingual Teacher, Literacy Instructional Coach, and Intervention Specialist. A member of the district’s PBIS Committee, Erika guides campuses on tiered behavioral interventions. As a National Consultant and Presenter, Erika supports schools in designing sustainable intervention systems. Recognized as Teacher of the Year (2012-2013) and a Together We Can award recipient; she is a collaborative leader focused on improving student outcomes.

Mary McCorvey, M.Ed.

Mary D. McCorvey is a veteran educator with over 20 years of experience in public education. As a classroom teacher, she taught middle school for a decade before transitioning into her last district role as an Instructional Specialist. In this capacity, Mary collaborated with K-12 educators and administrators to enhance the quality of instruction for students receiving special education services in inclusive settings. She has spearheaded initiatives in specially designed instruction, collaborative teaching, scaffolding strategies, and professional learning communities. Mary’s ability to bridge the gap between general and special education ensures that all students can thrive academically.
